England, 1970's. A new era in football began. Televised games and the abolition of the maximum wage transformed football players into celebrities. The world began viewing football with very different eyes. Suddenly, footballers were cool. Aware of their new status, the players began embracing a rock'n roll lifestyle. They were regularly found on nightclub dance floors with glamorous blondes and fashion models. The players had the looks, with their long hair and the girls went mad for them.
George Best was one of the first celebrity footballers. His actions, on and of the pitch, made him a cult figure for youth. He captured the imagination with his flair, skills, fast cars and women. The trail blazed by Best was followed by new tabloid stars like Peter Osgood, Gerd Müller, Socrates, Eric Cantona and Paul Gascoigne. Their belief in football as performance art, as showbiz, gave the game the much-needed boost, elevating them to cult status. They belonged to a long-gone school of football which demanded that members drank as hard off the pitch as they played on it. FCLOCO finds its inspiration in this football decade. Our aim is to combine the love for the beautiful game and stylish fashion. Inspired by the history and global influence of football, FCLOCO presents football as a lifestyle...

Although rebellious, we are aware of our social, economic and environmental responsibilities. FCLOCO takes care about the social circumstances of the people who grow our cotton or make our garments. We work with SA8000 certified factories and factories in low-risk production countries. SA8000 (Social Accountability 8000) is a certification standard designed to help companies manage workplace conditions throughout a global supply chain. The standard is based on the primary international workplace rights contained within the International Labour Organisation conventions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. It involves the implementation of management systems within the workplace of suppliers and involvement of key stakeholders including workers and factory owners. Importantly, SA8000 is an auditable certification standard which provides the ability to benchmark workplace standards and measure improvement. An overview of SA8000 can be viewed at www.sa-intl.org.
